Stay Home with maimai (Part 1)

“Stay Home with maimai” is a campaign launched during the Movement Control Order (MCO) to enlighten our customers and friends on the significance of the eco-labels and maiQualities that we have secured for Maica’s products. The reason that the timing for this sharing is so appropriate is that they are very tied to our unprecedented home-bound life as a result of MCO. This makes the air quality of indoor environment an important aspect, and how our products can certainly contribute to it The timing of this has never been more right. Here we go.

Covid-19 has typically made us realise the importance of hygiene and how vulnerable our respiratory system to foreign agents if our immune system is not strong. The increasing knowledge on these aspects, as a result of widespread publication in the media/social media, should have by now helped us to understand the motivation of getting Maica’s products certified for:

1) EN 438

With full compliance to EN 438, our products do not contain dangerous substances, specifically, pentachlorophenol, asbestos, halogens or heavy metals (Antimony, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium III and IV, Lead, Mercury and Selenium). Therefore, the indoor air quality of the environment where our products are used would not cause any untoward effect on our health and respiratory system. Please watch the video to gain more understanding.

2) Singapore Green Label ‘Made from Renewable/ Sustainable Materials’

Our products are made of kraft papers of virgin pulp materials harvested from non-virgin plantations/forestry. They do not contain halogenated solvents, aromatic solvents and heavy metal contents, such as Mercury, Lead, Cadmium, Chromium. The absence of these solvents and metal contents helps to eliminate the risk of hazardous indoor air, thus lowering the risk of us getting unwell as a result. Let's view the video.

3) GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD GOLD

They are proven to release a minimal amount of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), which are the chemicals emitted as gases from building materials, furniture or household products. VOC may potentially cause short or long-term health issues. However, our products do not comply to only GREENGUARD, but even a stricter compliance level of VOC, that is GREENGUARD GOLD. So, the health of indoor air is definitely enhanced. The below video explains it all:

Maica is always committed to deliver quality and green products. This is expressed in our corporate philosophies, 'Something's never changed' and 'Making life better everyday'.

We hope that you have enjoyed watching the above videos and understood why Maica insists to offer them as our product qualities.

More videos to come, for sure.

Stay safe. Stay home.
