What is: maiMetal

What It Is...

maiMetal consists of real metal sheet on the surface of the HPL. This is a specialized product, specified under the EN438 Part 8. maiMetal is good to use for furniture surface in place of metals when combined with plywood or wood-based board structures.

maiTechnology

The combination of a metal foil and the build-up of HPL requires special calibration of the hotpress machine. As it is partly metal, there may be some exclusions in the technical standards. However, Maica maintains some of the most basic standards for maiMetal, unless there is no such category for specifications by the international standards or unless the specific technology to achieve some of the standards is not available to Maica at this moment.
